I put together a fun Book Bag full of great books to read over Spring Break since one of my favorite things to do on Easter after church and brunch are through is to lay out in the sun with a good book!

  2. My grandparents used to send us giant buttercream eggs and peanut butter paddles from Aunt Charlotte’s candies and lollipops from See’s when I was a kid, and it was my favorite part!!

  3. My favorite Easter memory was when my grandmother once made a cake that looked like a lamb, but then the dog stole it off of the counter and ate the whole thing! It was really funny and a very cherished memory :)

    Favorite memory was getting dressed up for church (I went through an Easter hat phase..lol) and looking for eggs in the afternoon. :)

    Growing up it was our Easter baskets and egg hunts. We haven’t started these traditions with our kids but I really want to dye eggs and do the egg hunts with them. That tradition is one I want to continue.

    I remember leaving for church and we came home and my dog had eaten all 3 of our Easter baskets haha.

    My brother wanted to put his own whipped cream (out of a can) on his pie. The whipped cream hit the pie, bounced up, and then hit my mom in the face. I’ve never seen him move that fast.

  17. We always got a new book in our Easter basket. So winning this would be perfect!

  18. My strongest East memories were our Easter Sunday children’s service at church every year. The youth did a program and then also served brunch after service.

    My favorite memory was getting a new dress (even though I hated dresses!), going to church at 8am and than going to a family friends house for breakfast and an egg hunt. After that we would go to my grandparents house for a big family BBQ.

  23. My favorite Easter tradition is all the family and friends come here for Easter weekend, it is a big deal for us all.

  24. Over Easter/Spring Break we used to visit my great-aunt’s ranch in Colorado. We saw many lambs being born and even got to bottle feed them.

  25. There were 5 kids in my family, and we used to have great easter egg hunts, also we would have fun dying eggs!

  28. My favorite thing about Easter is the Cadburry Cream Eggs. Since they are only available one time a year, I tend to stock up. =)

  29. Hunting for Easter eggs with all of my cousins was always my favorite thing every year.

  31. i will always remember the treasure hunt my mom set up around the house for Easter.

  32. Oddly enough, my favorite Easter tradition is watching Edward Scissorhands. I know it’s weird- I have NO idea how it happened.

  33. My favorite memory was winning a giant chocolate bunny from an egg hunt at a local park when I was little. I was so proud of that bunny… as I ate all of it :P

    My grandmother used to get us these giant sugar eggs with elaborate scenes inside of them. I always just wanted to eat it, now I can look back at the incredible artistry that went into them.

    My mom used to do these elaborate egg hunts – I still remember those! (especially the one where our dog found a bunch of the chocolate and left her own kind of “chocolate” for us to find!)

    My favorite memory is my brother, sister and I hiding the eggs for days after Easter until they were all cracked and dirty.

  41. My sister once set up a really, really difficult Easter egg hunt for my brother and me! (She’s a lot older than us, so she’s more like a second mom than a sister.)

  42. Every year my mom would get me a new movie. I would always gorge on candy and watch my movie after we got back from church! :)

    When I was 3- we had Easter at my grandparent’s… It was after I became deaf. I have a cherished picture of myself with my grandma, both of us all dressed up.

    We always gathered at my grandmother’s house for Easter and used real boiled eggs to hunt. One year after the children had had a turn at hiding the eggs the grownups found all but one. They looked and looked but couldn’t find it. They made the children look at the eggs to try to figure out who had hidden the final egg. It was my cousin. He said he buried it. He tried to take the adults to the spot but they never found it. As an adult I wonder if he didn’t actually eat it!

    Besides the Easter Egg hunt, my Mom always made my siblings and I new Easter outfits. I always felt so pretty! Now she makes dresses for my children (I don’t sew). It means so much to them!
