What We Wore, Read, and Made Link Party: Merry Christmas!

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas! My family just cleared out after a wonderful day of hanging out, delicious food, and laughter it was pretty great. I shared some pictures of the festivities on Instagram.

Since it’s Christmas and all I figured I’d share something that just hit me this year. I think some times, especially with the classic holiday tunes, we just sing them without really connecting with the words. Over the last few days and a few church services we sang Hark the Herald Angels Sing more than a couple times and both my husband were hit with how solid the theology is in that song. I particularly love the third verse.

Hail, the heavenly Prince of Peace!
Hail, the Sun of Righteousness!
Light and life to all He brings,
Risen with healing in His wings.
Mild He leaves His throne on high,
Born that man no more may die;
Born to raise the sons of earth;
Born to give them second birth.
Hark! the herald angels sing,
“Glory to the new-born King!”

And yes it is sun s-U-n another thing to think about :) Any ways I am wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas! I am so grateful to have each of you in my life. Whether you are brand new to the blog, visit weekly, or are a stalker thanks for being a part of my life this year and I hope for many more to come!
