How to make jewelry backing cards perfect for gift giving
Cook Time 5 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes

Supplies

  • Card Stock - Any sort of thicker paper or thin cuttable cardboard would do
  • Scissors - extra details and affiliate links
  • Tape - I like using washing tape
  • Decorations optional - Marker or pen
  • Paper Cutter optional - Most of the time I use scissors to shape the card but you could absolutely use a paper punch or a cutting machine like a Cricut.
  • Straight Pin or Needle optional - this is helpful if gifting earrings.

Instructions

  • Cut a thick piece of paper. Use scissors, a punch, or electric cutting machine to cut out a base shape.
  • Decorate. Sometimes I add a little note, frame the image, but with time you could really make it fancy.
  • Cut slits or holes. For necklaces and bracelets you'll want to cut two slits. For earrings just stab two holes (you can use the earring itself of a sewing needle or straight pin).
  • Attach jewelry. Slide your jewelry item in and position it how you like.
  • Tidy the back. Fix the back by folding or rolling any extra length and securing with washing tape.
