Cream together the butter and both sugars until fluffy.
Beat in the egg and vanilla.
Add the flour, baking powder and salt.
Mix until just everything is combined.
The dough will be very crumbly.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and form each portion into a ball. Just until it comes together.
Press the sprinkles all over the top and sides of the cookies.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees while the dough chills.
Bake the cookies for 18 minutes.
Let the cookies sit on the baking sheet for 5 minutes then transfer to a cooling rack.
