Recipe: Easy and Delicious Balsamic Vinaigrette

I make this all the time. So easy and fast with ingredients I always have on hand great balsamic Vinaigrette recipe for any salad
This is my first year growing lettuce and I’m super excited to say it’s going really well. I’m pretty bad about letting produce die in our fridge so this works out great for us.
Instead of buying a big box of lettuce and getting through it I can just snip what I need for this meal. I’m kind of in love.

For our first homegrown lettuce I whipped up some of my easy everything in the shelf Balsamic Vinaigrette. This is great for entertaining and you can add different things to adjust it to your own tastes so I thought I’d share.

I do equal parts balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil (usually a small portion for me where I have left overs is 1/8 C of each) . Then I add a couple shakes of garlic salt and pepper flakes to taste. You can make as much or as little as you want just start with equal parts oil and vinegar.

Next I whisk it all together so it’s well combined and taste it. Sometimes I end up adding a little more salt or more balsamic or vinegar depending on how I feel that day. You can throw in any other herbs or lemon juice for a little change. But that’s the basic recipe with how I make it most of the time. I just throw the left overs into a container. Even better than that if you have a small jar just throw all the ingredients in that and shake like crazy (I couldn’t find my small jar this time).

And here’s an obligatory I’m so proud of my little garden shot for you. Seriously it’s so much fun to cut my own lettuce. I’ve never tried to make any other kind of dressing but I’m curious. If you know of a good one for me to tried I’d love you to let me know in the comments :)

hands down the best and easiest salad dressing. Great balsamic vinaigrette recipe
