You know my love for Very Shannon‘s Sweetheart Dress Pattern, I originally shared about it here and used it as the base for my Fancy Nancy Dress. So I was super excited when I learned that Shannon was releasing a second girls pattern, the Sally Dress.
T requested sleeves and L wanted sleeveless (the pattern actually has a shorter sleeve option too) but the big hit were the pockets. The girls absolutely ADORED the giant pockets when I took the dresses over to them. My sister has a crazy huge garden and the nieces found the pockets perfect for tomato harvesting!
I love the square neckline, it is so sweet and makes it super easy for kiddos to put the dresses on themselves. I would note that the sizing is generous on the larger sizes which it clearly states on the pattern. I went down a size for both girls but I think next time I’d go down another size for a more perfect fit. If you go off of the finished measurement you should be good but I was a bit nervous doing 2 sizes down from the Sweetheart pattern but at least now these will last for a couple years.
