7 Fun Board Books For Baby

great board books for baby showers or first birthday parties

We have lots of books. And by lots I mean piles and piles everywhere. You might think they are all my books but the biggest culprit of the book hoarding in this family has to be Teddy. He’s got a giant stash upstairs and another downstairs.

Darling board books perfect for baby gifts for showers or first birthdays

We’re blessed to have friends and family that support our book addiction. My one friend commented after Teddy’s birthday that she’s never seen so many books given as gifts at a birthday.

And I wouldn’t have it any other way. Seriously I think a book is the perfect gift for any kid. So today I’m sharing some of our favorite board baby board books.

7 Fun Board Books for Baby

Great unique board books that every baby needs. Perfect gift idea for showers or 1st birthday parties

These are some of our favorites. Ones that both Teddy and we can happily read over and over. I think the Very First Words book gets read Every.Single.Day because Teddy just adores it! If you’re heading to a first birthday party any time soon or even a baby shower these are some gems.

What are some of your favorite books for the little ones?

Let’s connect! You can also find me hanging out here.

  1. We LOVE Peek a Who! Also, did I say that about the number of books he got? If not, I definitely thought it. And felt bad for half a second for contributing. But seriously, books are the best gift ever.

Try looking for Chomp! Or there’s a series of tiny board books with a finger puppet in the middle. They’re simple “stories,” but the wee ones love the soft puppet.

  2. We have sooooooo many kid books…. I keep about 1/3 of them out at any time because otherwise they wind up as a huge pile and become a slipping hazard. I guess it’s not the worst problem to have.

The 11 month old is currently into peek-a-boo books too especially ones with babies like: Baby Says Peek-a-boo (http://www.amazon.com/Baby-Says-Peekaboo-DK/dp/0756616212) and the lift the flap books.

The newly three year old is getting into Dr. Seus, Blueberries for Sal, Stellaluna and Hush Little Dragon.
