When I received a copy of The Official DC Super Hero Cookbook in the mail I squealed with delight. I knew that T, my super hero obsessed niece would absolutely love it (you’ll remember her super hero dress from a few months ago). After flipping through the book I was really impressed. All the recipes are simple and accessible. Most can be made by kiddos with minimal adult help. If you want to have a good peek inside the Amazon has a bunch of page shots.
The girls and I had so much fun flipping through the book. I asked them to pick out a couple recipes to try out and of course I kept hearing “this one” and “ooh this one” with every flip of the page. In addition to over 50 recipes from main meals to treats there are a bunch of stencils and cut outs that you can use to decorate your creations. And this might seem like a little thing but it’s spiral bound and I LOOOOOVEE that when it comes to cookbooks.
We settled on a recipe for Kryptonite Krunch. I just read the measurements for the girls and they put this tasty trail mix together on their own.
To go with the Krunch we made the tasty Aquaman Floats and the girls had so much fun adding the Swedish Fish as the finishing touch.
If you have your own super hero fan in your life the Super Hero Cookbook would make a fantastic gift. And with all the Cyber Monday deals today is a great day to snatch it up along with other fun goodies from Amazon.
